The mission of the NSA Multicultural Academy is to provide every student with a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning.

NSA Multicultural Academy’s vision is to develop highly educated, well-rounded students who are excited about learning.

Through rigorous and innovative academic programming, NSA Multicultural Academy strives to provide the highest quality education to ensure that every student performs at his or her highest potential. Our administrators, teachers and staff will achieve this by:

·         Making literacy our first priority

·         Implementing a rigorous, standards based, and uniform curriculum

·         Offering intense professional development for teachers

·         Developing strong family and community partnerships

·         Promoting respect and responsibility among our students

 Philosophy

NSA Multicultural Academy of Academic Excellence focuses on the total student.  The Academy is designed to address the student’s intellectual, communicative, perceptual, physical, social, and emotional growth and development.

Instructional activities, which are planned for the student’s, are designed to meet the readiness of each learner.  These educational activities provide a balance between the process and content of learning.

The Academy’s environment is structured to foster an activity-oriented, student approach to learning.  Students are encouraged to become self-directed learners through involvement in Academy activities and choices.

Goals

To provide a program which emphasizes the development of cognitive skills, self-confidence, social skills, independence, self-control, and the advancement of academic skills.
